![]() ![]() After hearing from Mythra that she was created the same way, Poppi asks Mythra to destroy her, which the other refuses to do it. Poppi, being advanced tech herself, fears that she could possibly bring the same fate to Tora and her friends. While the party is in the Land of Morytha, the pair come to the conclusion that humans were wiped out due to the dangers of advanced technology. RELATED: Xenoblade: 10 Best Titans, RankedPoppi also shares a moment with Pyra's other personality, Mythra. The way she talks to Rex is quite moving, coming from a being such as her, who's overcome so much. Despite this, her capacity for empathy in her 'heart' (rather, furnace) is immense, even more than the characters that are technically 'alive' in the traditional sense. It's all so perfectly ironic given Poppi is completely artificial, a robot meant solely for combat. Once again, the Blade proves herself even mightier off the battlefield. While the others tried talking to him, it's Poppi who makes the most meaningful approach, choosing empathy over harsh bluntness. This moment is what makes her admiration for Rex and Pyra important. She reveals to Rex how much she and Tora look up to him - that they'd be clueless on how to proceed without him. Though she starts out criticizing Rex as well, Poppi proceeds to comfort him, talking calmly. However, Poppi approaches Rex a bit differently. Everyone else in the party is against this, but the ones that talk to him, namely Nia and Brighid, take out their anger by physically attacking and berating him. Jin steals Pyra from Rex, leaving him so hopeless that he seriously considers giving up on rescuing her. ![]() Later on, Rex and his friends find themselves powerless against a new enemy, Jin. Her empathy far outweighing her impressive skills as a combatant, wishing the best for her fellow artificial Blades even when they could potentially bring harm to her friends. When that battle is over, she expresses hope in the possibility that Blades won't be used to do harmful things anymore. This allows Poppi to fight an even stronger artificial Blade alongside her friends, while carrying out her promise to Lila, freeing the rest of their siblings. The battle ends with Lila breaking free from the control and sacrificing her Ether furnace to upgrade Poppi. Despite Lila being a superior artificial Blade, Poppi overcomes her thanks to the bond she shares with Tora and the rest of her companions. This makes their later battle quite tragic, especially since Lila is mind-controlled and doesn't want to hurt anyone, but Poppi knows she has to win in order to protect her friends. Since they were made from the same blueprint, Poppi and Lila consider each other, as well as many other artificial Blades, to be sisters. To make matters worse, Lila's doing the evil bidding of another character. Poppi's character arc kicks off when she's mistaken for another artificial Blade, named Lila, made by Tora's father and dead grandfather. She looks up to Rex and Pyra, wishing for herself and Tora to be like them, those aspirations driving her heroic efforts. She speaks of Tora and his habits in a snarky manner but cares deeply for him and the party as a whole. She's often childlike in her expressions, curious of the world around her. She serves as his Blade and a great friend to all the members of the party. Poppi is an artificial Blade created by Tora.
